This third workshop will turn the focus towards the economy. Over the years, both the academic and policy literature on language revitalisation have often stressed the importance of various economic factors for the prospects of different regional and minority languages. However, this discussion has remained at a relatively general level and there is scope to flesh out clearer agenda of questions that those concerned with language revitalisation need to engage with in order to develop a better understanding of how different economic processes and relationships impact on levels of language vitality.
